The Minnesota Twins, in partnership with the National Sports Center, are excited to introduce the third year of the Twins Training Academy at the National Sports Center. The program provides amateur athletes with a way to continue developing their baseball skills in the offseason. Training the Twins way at the National Sports Center is a great way to prepare for next season's tryouts and improve your overall ability.

Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Training Camps

Twins Training Camps are open to youth ages 8 to 18. Camps address general baseball skills including hitting, defense, throwing and pitching. Players will go through hitting drills designed to correct flaws and improve swings; defensive drills including infield and outfield work; and throwing drills designed to teach players the correct way to throw to gain velocity, accuracy and avoid arm injuries. For younger players, emphasis is placed on fundamentals and intermediate skills. For players over 13 years old, instructors will introduce and focus on more advanced training.

The NSC Indoor Soccer League is played on infill turf. Three sessions are offered through the winter/spring. Age groups will play on the following days for Session II.

» Monday: Adult Coed; (start times 9 and 10 pm)
» Tuesday: Men’s Rec; (start times 9 and 10 pm)
» Wednesday: Men’s Over 35; (start times 9 and 10 pm)
» Thursday: Men’s Competitive; (start times 9 and 10 pm)
» Friday: U17 Boys, U18/19 boys (start times 9 and 10 pm)
» Saturday: U9/10 boys and girls, U11 boys and girls, U12 boys and girls, U13 boys and girls, U14 boys and girls, U15 boys and girls, U16 boys and girls, U17 girls, U18/19 girls (games may start at 8 am with the youngest age groups first)
» Sunday: Men's Competitive; (start times 9 and 10 pm)

Open Lacrosse

The National Sports Center will be offering open lacrosse on Friday afternoons between 3:00-5:00 pm.

The fee will be $5 per time and we will divide out the age groups as people show up.

First Kicks Soccer Training - Session III

The First Kicks program is a specially designed developmental program for kids ages 5-8. This program introduces young players to the basic fundamental skills of soccer such as passing, shooting, receiving the ball and running with the ball to learn the concept of team play. The Minnesota Twins, in partnership with the National Sports Center, are excited to introduce the third year of the Twins Training Academy at the National Sports Center. The program provides amateur athletes with a way to continue developing their baseball skills in the offseason. Training the Twins way at the National Sports Center is a great way to prepare for next season's tryouts and improve your overall ability.
