f the Medical History Society of New Jersey and incoming president of th
e American Osler Society\, an international organization for historians
of medicine.\n \nDr. Moss has published over thirty articles\, chapters
\, and encyclopedia entries in the field of medical history and speaks fr
equently before local\, state\, and national audiences. She is the autho

DESCRIPTION:Macroinvertebrates—known outside of scientific circles as bu
 gs\, worms\, mollusks and other small\, spineless creatures—are useful w
hen it comes to studying water quality and environmental conditions in a
nd around a stream. For instance\, dragonflies\, aquatic snails\, and fl
atworms can indicate whether the water in a stream is truly clean. Dr. L
ee Pollock\, retired Drew University Professor of Biology\, has studied
these small creatures each year in the Great Swamp watershed since 1992.
Join the Great Swamp Watershed Association on Tuesday\, May 22\, from
 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to hear findings from his 2011 studies\, along wi

he perspective you get by looking through the lense of your camera? If y
ou have ever wondered how wildlife photographers get all those amazing p
ictures of birds\, bugs\, and mammals that seem to live the majority of
their lives out of good camera range\, you will want to join the Great S
wamp Watershed Association for our Wildlife Photography Workshop on Satu
rday\, June 2\, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. You will work with professional
wildlife photographer Blaine Rothauser and amateur wildlife photographer
Ari Kaufman on improving all you wildlife shooting skills\, including c
omposition and which equipment to use. All secrets will be revealed duri
ng the first hour of class\, then we will venture out as a group to see
what the Great Swamp has to offer us as creative photographers.\n\nAll p

nd Emma Wilcox\, present an expansive and highly diverse cross-section o
 f contemporary art practice\, encompassing sculpture\, printmaking\, pai

\, which takes place in Gallery Aferro’s 20\,000 sq ft building.\n\nConn
ecting Bedminster (Somerset County) and Newark (Essex County) and featur

rtistic vibrancy of the region\, and the important role that workspace p
rograms and art centers play in placemaking and the free exchange of ide
as.\n\nExhibiting artists: Anonda Bell\, Katrina Bello\, Gianluca Bianch

cess to a large studio\, career support\, studio visits from curators\,
the opportunity to participate in public events such as artist talks and
open studios\, a culminating solo exhibition\, inclusion in a publicati
on and the chance to document their experiences on the studio blog. With
an ever-expanding alumni network of almost 60 artists\, there are ongoi
ng opportunities for collaboration and fellowship.\n\nGallery Aferro and
the Center for Contemporary Art are both creative hubs where art is not
only shown but made. The exhibitions as well as the accompanying public
