Pima Association of Government’s Clean Fuels /Clean Cities Program is part of a voluntary program of the U.S. Department of Energy to expand the use of alternatives to gasoline and diesel vehicle fuel, accelerate the use of alternative-fuel vehicles and build local refueling infrastructure for these vehicles.
Through its coalition of over 90 members, Clean Cities works with local businesses and government to guide them through the process necessary to establish the foundation for a viable alternative fuels market to help reduce dependence on foreign oil and reduce vehicle emissions, the single largest contributor to air pollution in many cities, including Tucson.

Unisource Energy's $60 million, nine-story, 232,000-sq. ft. headquarters building is the first large structure built in downtown Tucson since 1986. The building includes a conference center, meeting rooms, 11,000 sq. ft. of ground-floor retail space, and 500 structured parking spaces. It will be occupied by 500 employees of both Tucson Electric Power (TEP) and sister company UniSource Energy Services, which provides natural gas and electric service in northern and southern Arizona.
UniSource Energy's application for LEED® Gold certification of the building is pending before the U.S. Green Building Council®. The building incorporates a long list of environmentally responsible features, including:
