State of the Valley Conference

The State of the Valley conference features a range of thought leaders and decision makers making sense of our region’s trends and challenges. To inform the discussion, our principal analytical tool is the Silicon Valley Index, presented jointly by Silicon Valley Community Foundation and Joint Venture. This nationally recognized publication includes indicators that measure the strength of our economy and the health of our community, highlighting challenges and providing a data-rich foundation for decision making. This year the first keynote speaker is the Honorable Richard Daly, former Mayor of Chicago. He will discuss “The Greening of America’s Metropolitan Regions. This will be followed by a panel discussion on the same subject featuring the Honorable Chuck Reed, Mayor of San Jose. Donor Circle for the Arts Performance Showcase

Experience the rich cultural tapestry of Silicon Valley at our annual Donor Circle for the Arts Performance Showcase on Tuesday evening, April 3 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a program of free performances and exhibitions by almost 100 emerging local artists who have been selected as finalists for the Donor Circle for the Arts grant awards. This year’s showcase takes place at the spacious Lohman Theatre at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Come at 6 p.m. for the reception and hors d’oeuvres and to mingle with members of the Donor Circle for the Arts.
