Douglas Young, The Movie Guy, describes the movie as the story of: "a lonely and friendless boy finds and untangles a hurt dolphin that is caught in a crab trap. He becomes very attached to the dolphin when the tail must be taken off to save the dolphin's life. The boy believes the dolphin would be able to swim normally if it was given a prosthetic tale". The Special Troopers Adaptive Riding School (S.T.A.R.S.), Inc. changes the lives of children and adults with physical, cognitive or emotional disabilities everyday through therapeutic horseback riding, canine-assisted services and other animal-assisted activities. The longest running therapeutic riding center in the Midwest, we have served the Siouxland area for 28 years with a dedicated group of NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified instructors, tireless volunteers and a faithful volunteer Board of Directors.
On March 3, 2012, S.T.A.R.S. will be hosting their third annual Winter Meltdown benefit auction at the Marina Inn. The evening will be a chance to break out of the winter blues with summer- fun, food and live music.
