Special Occasion Fashion Show
I am a junior in high school and I am organizing a Special Occasion Fashion Show. This is a clothing drive to collect nicer attire for women in our community, giving them an opportunity to do something nice for themselves and inspire them to go to job interviews or other special occasions with confidence and stride - like a model at a fashion show.
At this event my peers and I will give out the clothing we have collected for free, in addition to supplying them with hot soup, baked goods, coffee and tea.
If you could please announce this event on your program so women in need will be aware of this opportunity, it would be greatly appreciated.

Learning to Love Yourself with Father Peter Bowes
Many people harbor deep and secret feelings that there is something inherently wrong with them. This results in people feeling 'less than' others or having to make themselves feel 'better than' others. In fact, if you could see yourself as your Creator sees you, you would know thoroughly that you are completely loved and accepted. This doesn't mean there's not work to do on yourself, but it does mean your heart can rest in the knowing that while you are doing the work, you are supported by the God of Love. Come and begin the journey toward love of God and self with Father Peter Bowes.

Coupons For Our Troops Program at The Howard Whittemore Libary
~ The Howard Whittemore Library is collecting coupons to send to our military families stationed overseas. The prices in overseas commissaries are significantly higher than those in the States and military families do not always have access to coupons in newspapers and inserts. Military families stationed overseas are often living on one income and coupons help them stretch their budget and make ends meet.
The average Sunday newspaper contains approximately $125 worth of coupons. Even the smallest donation, when combined with the donations of other individuals, will make a difference for many military families serving our country overseas.
It’s an easy way to make a big difference in their lives! Please help us help them!
We are asking the public to please bring their unused and expired coupons to the library each week. No need to clip them, just submit the entire insert from the Sunday newspaper. Overseas military members can use expired coupons up to six months past their expiration date! Please…

An Off-Broadway success and 1996 television film featuring Nathan Lane, The Boys Next Door is a warm, touching and wonderfully funny look into the lives of four mentally disabled men sharing a communal residence in New England. It's a day in the lives of Jack, Norman, Lucien, Arnold and Barry. Who under the watchful eye of their sincere, but increasingly weary caregiver Jack, tackle the daily 'little things' in life with poignant and sometimes hilarious results. This tenderly written play is a heartwarming reminder that all of us, regardless of our abilities, want only to love, laugh and find meaning and purpose in our lives.

Meditation and Mysticism: Experience God Inside Yourself - Class 6
This is a powerful introductory course designed for those who are seeking an inner experience of God through meditation. Classes include teachings on the practices of the mystics and how they can be applied in the modern western world. Mysticism refers to "the practice of knowing the reality of God through direct experience." It is certainly nothing new, as it has always been at the core of every religion and represents a more inner, experiential way of coming to know God and the spiritual world. We offer this series as an opportunity for you to discover whether the mystical path might be right for you.
The topic for this class is Soul. People talk about soul in many contexts, and somehow we know it means something deeply important for us as human beings, but who knows what a soul really is? What is our true relationship with this aspect of ourselves? You can come to know your soul and gain realization about the purpose of your soul's existence through meditation. Come to this class to begin to learn how.
