The renowned Zukerman ChamberPlayers will perform a program of Brahms and Schumann on February 12 in what promises to be a signature event of the 2012 season of the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival (AICMF). Featured will be Giacomo Puccini's Messa di Gloria, which was first performed in Italy in 1880. Johannes Brahms, a German, spent three years composing his Schicksalslied, or The Song of Fate.
Since 2004 the 45-member Island Chamber Singers have been performing two concerts a year with instrumental ensembles. This year tenor soloist Reginald Bouknight from Washington, D.C. will sing with the group under the Direction of Jane Lindberg.
