The Intersection of Faith and Sexuality

Honors Symposia Courts and policy-makers often confront conflicting claims from religious advocates and those who favor LGBT equity, in the United States and in other countries in the west. Some involve advocacy on the part of Christians; others are presented on behalf of socially or politically marginalized religious minorities. In some instances the issues are relatively straightforward, and for some of us easily resolved. But in other cases there are complex issues raised that no country's legal or political system has satisfactorily sorted out, in part because of the need to respect religious differences in multicultural societies. Type of Event: Academic Lectures and Seminars. Honors Program and Symposia. Open to Public: Yes. Price: Free. Contact Name: Carla Sykes. Contact Email: csykes@ut.edu.
