Greene County Master Gardener Class

The Master Gardener Program is a way to bring classroom expertise and practical knowledge about backyard gardening to the homeowner. The class teaches several topics related to horticulture. Cedarville Hosts Weekend Soccer Clinic

Cedarville Ohio—Cedarville University invites high school junior and senior boys to the advanced soccer weekend clinic on February 10-11. This clinic is for students who wish to play soccer at the college level. The clinic allows potential students to learn about Cedarville’s soccer program, coaching style and campus. Coaching staff will evaluate students and give recruiting feedback during the soccer sessions. Students will participate in technical and tactical training sessions, collegiate video sessions and fitness, speed and agility training. Sessions will mimic the Cedarville University Men’s Soccer team’s possession-oriented and creative attacking style as well as its purpose, discipline, intensity and brotherhood. Students should bring equipment for three to four field sessions, including cleats and turf shoes or flats. Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp

Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University invites boys ages 13-18 to one of the top baseball camps in the Midwest. The spring training baseball camp will be held on Sundays, February 12, 19 and 26 at the Christian university in Ohio. Boys will learn about the fundamental skills and tactical strategies of baseball while participating in drills and receiving one-on-one instruction. Coach Mike Manes will direct the camp, and Cedarville baseball players and coaches will teach offense/defense and pitching/catching sessions. Students may sign up for one or both sessions. The offense/defense session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the pitching/catching session from 3 to 5 p.m. Time will be set aside during the day to consider Christian principles and their application to daily living. Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp

Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp

Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University invites boys ages 13-18 to one of the top baseball camps in the Midwest. The spring training baseball camp will be held on Sundays, February 12, 19 and 26 at the Christian university in Ohio. Boys will learn about the fundamental skills and tactical strategies of baseball while participating in drills and receiving one-on-one instruction. In the spring of 2011, Andy Niekamp set out on a hiking journey from Dayton on Ohio's Buckeye Trail. The goal of his hike was to hike for as long as it was fun. Over 1,400 miles and 88 days later, Andy returned to Dayton on the Buckeye Trail, the longest circular trail in the nation. The 2012 Summit provides a platform for young professionals to gather and discuss the economic and community challenges facing Dayton and then develop creative solutions to address those problems. They then embark on a year-long journey to implement those ideas with the goal of moving the needle forward on the issues of the attraction and retention of young talent in the region.
