Cedarville Ohio—Cedarville University invites high school junior and senior boys to the advanced soccer weekend clinic on February 10-11. This clinic is for students who wish to play soccer at the college level.
The clinic allows potential students to learn about Cedarville’s soccer program, coaching style and campus. Coaching staff will evaluate students and give recruiting feedback during the soccer sessions. Students will participate in technical and tactical training sessions, collegiate video sessions and fitness, speed and agility training. Sessions will mimic the Cedarville University Men’s Soccer team’s possession-oriented and creative attacking style as well as its purpose, discipline, intensity and brotherhood.

Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp
Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University invites boys ages 13-18 to one of the top baseball camps in the Midwest. The spring training baseball camp will be held on Sundays, February 12, 19 and 26 at the Christian university in Ohio.
Boys will learn about the fundamental skills and tactical strategies of baseball while participating in drills and receiving one-on-one instruction. Coach Mike Manes will direct the camp, and Cedarville baseball players and coaches will teach offense/defense and pitching/catching sessions.
Students may sign up for one or both sessions. The offense/defense session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the pitching/catching session from 3 to 5 p.m. Time will be set aside during the day to consider Christian principles and their application to daily living. Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp
Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University invites boys ages 13-18 to one of the top baseball camps in the Midwest. The spring training baseball camp will be held on Sundays, February 12, 19 and 26 at the Christian university in Ohio.
Boys will learn about the fundamental skills and tactical strategies of baseball while participating in drills and receiving one-on-one instruction. Coach Mike Manes will direct the camp, and Cedarville baseball players and coaches will teach offense/defense and pitching/catching sessions.
Students may sign up for one or both sessions. The offense/defense session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the pitching/catching session from 3 to 5 p.m. Time will be set aside during the day to consider Christian principles and their application to daily living. Cedarville, Ohio – Author and speaker Nicole Bromley believes that “one of the best ways to navigate life is to take what is ugly, dirty and broken and turn it into something beautiful.”
At the age of 5 Bromley was sexually abused by her stepfather. It wasn’t until the age of 13 that she spoke up and told her mother about the abuse. After sharing her story with others when she was 15, she realized that her voice could give others the power to make the first step towards healing.
She strives to deliver powerful and much needed messages of hope and reassurance for those who are struggling to heal from abuse.

Cedarville Hosts Boys Baseball Camp
Cedarville, Ohio-Cedarville University invites boys ages 13-18 to one of the top baseball camps in the Midwest. The spring training baseball camp will be held on Sundays, February 12, 19 and 26 at the Christian university in Ohio.
Boys will learn about the fundamental skills and tactical strategies of baseball while participating in drills and receiving one-on-one instruction. Coach Mike Manes will direct the camp, and Cedarville baseball players and coaches will teach offense/defense and pitching/catching sessions.
Students may sign up for one or both sessions. The offense/defense session will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. and the pitching/catching session from 3 to 5 p.m. Time will be set aside during the day to consider Christian principles and their application to daily living. Thru Hiking the Buckeye Trail - A 1,400 Mile Journey Around Ohio
In the spring of 2011, Andy Niekamp set out on a hiking journey from Dayton on Ohio's Buckeye Trail. The goal of his hike was to hike for as long as it was fun. Over 1,400 miles and 88 days later, Andy returned to Dayton on the Buckeye Trail, the longest circular trail in the nation. His presentation will take you on a foot journey around Ohio with beautiful photos and acquaint you with Ohio's backyard trail.
Andy Niekamp is from Kettering and has a passion for long distance hiking. He has hiked the entire Appalachian Trail end to end three times. Andy is founder and leader of the DaytonHikers.Org group.

Cedarville, Ohio –Tim Goeglein, vice president for external relations at Focus on the Family, will be speaking on March 1 in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center at Cedarville University.
Prior to working with Focus on the Family, Goeglein served as special assistant to President George W. Bush, as the deputy director of the White House Office of Public Liaison.
Goeglein graduated from Indiana University’s School of Journalism and is the author of “Man in the Middle.” He currently resides in the Washington-area with his wife and two sons. In his down time he enjoys playing tennis and reading.
Goeglein will share his story about his journey to the White House, his downfall with plagiarism, the overwhelming forgiveness he received from the president and what God has revealed to him since.

Greene County Master Gardener Class
The Master Gardener Program is a way to bring classroom expertise and practical knowledge about backyard gardening to the homeowner. The class teaches several topics related to horticulture.
Starting in Feb, participants spend 9 weeks gaining knowledge in the classroom and then are asked to contribute volunteer hours in service on different gardening projects and activities in Greene county.

Since forming in 2003, De Temps Antan, a trio comprised of current and former members of La Bottine Souriante, has taken the high-energy sound of traditional Québécois dance music around the world. The 2012 Summit provides a platform for young professionals to gather and discuss the economic and community challenges facing Dayton and then develop creative solutions to address those problems. They then embark on a year-long journey to implement those ideas with the goal of moving the needle forward on the issues of the attraction and retention of young talent in the region.
It is a half-day event that engages young creative professionals from over 12 of the area's young professional organizations and others organizations across the region. For the 2012 Summit, projects will be focused on improving internship opportunities for college students, increasing environmentally-friendly transportation options, building diversity through the support of the immigrant friendly project and improving urban vibrancy.
