Wishes in Flight
Fundraisers
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking for busy travelers to donate their air miles to the Foundation through its Wishes in Flight program. Many non-profit organizations need money, but few require air miles to make their charitable work possible. Frequent fliers with air miles from Delta, US Airways, Continental or United* hold the ticket to granting the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Travel is the biggest expense for wishes granted by the Foundation. For example, at least 200,000 air miles are needed to send a family of four to the Orlando theme parks and at least 300,000 are needed for a trip to Hawaii. Once donated, the miles never expire and the Foundation turns them into free flights.

The breakfast includes all the pancakes you can eat, sausages, orange juice and a choice of tea, coffee, milk or chocolate milk. Cost is $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10.

Fundraisers
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking for busy travelers to donate their air miles to the Foundation through its Wishes in Flight program. Many non-profit organizations need money, but few require air miles to make their charitable work possible. Frequent fliers with air miles from Delta, US Airways, Continental or United* hold the ticket to granting the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Travel is the biggest expense for wishes granted by the Foundation. For example, at least 200,000 air miles are needed to send a family of four to the Orlando theme parks and at least 300,000 are needed for a trip to Hawaii. Once donated, the miles never expire and the Foundation turns them into free flights.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking for busy travelers to donate their air miles to the Foundation through its Wishes in Flight program. Many non-profit organizations need money, but few require air miles to make their charitable work possible. Frequent fliers with air miles from Delta, US Airways, Continental or United* hold the ticket to granting the wishes of local children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Travel is the biggest expense for wishes granted by the Foundation. For example, at least 200,000 air miles are needed to send a family of four to the Orlando theme parks and at least 300,000 are needed for a trip to Hawaii. Once donated, the miles never expire and the Foundation turns them into free flights.

Allentown, PA – The Museum of Indian Culture, 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, will open a new exhibit called “Kachinas: Spirit Dolls of the Hopi” on Saturday, March 19 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. The exhibit will feature over 70 hand-carved and hand-painted wooden figures based on Hopi kachinas. Carved by George Melloy, a retired Bethlehem Steel Metallurgical Engineer, the sculptures reproduce with stunning color and historical accuracy the full round of Hopi ceremonies, including the Bean Dance ceremony and the Winter Solstice ceremony. Visit us and learn the fascinating history of Hopi kachinas and their pivotal role in Pueblo Indian cultures.
The exhibit will run from March 19, 2011 to March 19, 2012.

Do you want to learn more about fishing on the ice in the chilly winter temperatures? This program provides information and instruction on Pennsylvania fishes, basic ice fishing skills, regulations and ice safety. Weather permitting, participants will also get the opportunity to put their new fishing skills to use out on Lake Wallenpaupack. The program is free and fishing licenses are not required. Equipment and bait will be provided. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Part of this program will be conducted inside, but parents need to ensure that they and their children are dressed appropriately for the outdoor portion of the program.

Allentown, PA – The Museum of Indian Culture, 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, will open a new exhibit called “Kachinas: Spirit Dolls of the Hopi” on Saturday, March 19 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. The exhibit will feature over 70 hand-carved and hand-painted wooden figures based on Hopi kachinas. Carved by George Melloy, a retired Bethlehem Steel Metallurgical Engineer, the sculptures reproduce with stunning color and historical accuracy the full round of Hopi ceremonies, including the Bean Dance ceremony and the Winter Solstice ceremony. Visit us and learn the fascinating history of Hopi kachinas and their pivotal role in Pueblo Indian cultures.
The exhibit will run from March 19, 2011 to March 19, 2012.
