Dew Tour fans are invited to attend a free meet and greet with the world’s top snowboard and freeskiier athletes on Friday, February 10, at iFLY Utah during the Winter Dew Tour Championships. The Golden Spike Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society has taken on the effort of restoring, Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad steam locomotive #223 to an operational engine.
Our restoration shops are located in the Trainmen’s Building of the historic Ogden Union Station in Ogden, UT. Work sessions are held there every Saturday morning starting at approximately 9:30 AM through early afternoon. Access the shops by driving to the North end of Union Station at 26th Street along the driveway between the building and Track 1 at the rear of the facility.

The Yuval Ron Ensemble includes Arabic, Jewish and Christian artists who come together to unite the sacred musical traditions of Judaism, Sufism (Islamic mystical tradition) and the Christian Armenian Church into an unusual musical celebration. Composer and world-music record producer Yuval Ron imparts the ancient and deep intercultural connection between these three traditions and the musical influences they share. 2002 Winter Games Reunion

In 2002 the world was welcomed to Utah in a spectacular way. The Olympic torch was run through the streets of Ogden with the final leg being run on Historic 25th Street by Spencer Eccles. The huge crowd roared as Spence ascended the stairs to the stage and lit the cauldron. In 2002, Ogden’s Olympic moment was celebrated in spectacular fashion. The 2002 Olympic Winter Games showed off the hospitality of Utah. The Olympic volunteers helped everyone to have a great experience. The athletes, officials, SLOC staff, government officials and spectators all witnessed a phenomenal outpouring of friendliness, cooperation and compassion from the volunteers. The Golden Spike Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society has taken on the effort of restoring, Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad steam locomotive #223 to an operational engine.
Our restoration shops are located in the Trainmen’s Building of the historic Ogden Union Station in Ogden, UT. Work sessions are held there every Saturday morning starting at approximately 9:30 AM through early afternoon. Access the shops by driving to the North end of Union Station at 26th Street along the driveway between the building and Track 1 at the rear of the facility.

Resident Artists from Utah Opera John Buffett, baritone, Jennie Litster, soprano, Sishel Claverie, mezzo-soprano, Andrew Penning, tenor, and Daveth Clark, pianist, will reveal to the audience their considerable talents.
Here’s a brief synopsis:
Timid ranch hand Nemorino can’t get up the nerve to declare his love for sassy cowgirl Adina. When a rival appears on the scene, Nemorino uses a “magic elixir” to give him the courage to find romance. With an updated Western setting, this one-hour version of Donizetti’s Italian classic is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

The Golden Spike Chapter of the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society has taken on the effort of restoring, Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad steam locomotive #223 to an operational engine.
Our restoration shops are located in the Trainmen’s Building of the historic Ogden Union Station in Ogden, UT. Work sessions are held there every Saturday morning starting at approximately 9:30 AM through early afternoon. Access the shops by driving to the North end of Union Station at 26th Street along the driveway between the building and Track 1 at the rear of the facility.

OVBA's Community Calendar
Children’s Discovery Times has been modified to more fully integrate music and movement from the Movers and Shakers program. The new design will introduce infants and toddlers to the amazing world of music while keeping all of the wonderful elements of a story time and emergent literacy. All children from infancy through five years old and their caregivers are invited to participate in lively singalongs, play on instruments, and enjoy great stories. Discovery Times will now be held in two forty-five minute sessions on Monday mornings.
