Set up Event Actions options for a published calendar

If Event Actions are enabled on a published Trumba® Connect calendar, visitors to the calendar can do a variety of things with the events to stay connected with them.

For example, visitors can add events to their own personal calendars, forward event information to friends, set up event reminders, and more.

After you publish a calendar, you can customize the Event Actions settings in each of the calendar views you enable for the calendar.

To specify how to allow visitors to interact with your calendar

  1. In the Publishing Control Panel for your published calendar, click the Calendar Spuds tab. On the Main Calendar Spud page, select Add Calendar View.

If you've already added the view to the control panel, on that view, select Edit Settings.

  2. In the Event Actions section of the Edit Settings page, choose:
    • Multiple to enable calendar visitors to select multiple events on which to take the same action.

If you do not edit the settings for a calendar view, this is the default Event Action option.

    • Single to enable the Event Action icon for each event, so that visitors can take an action only on one event at a time.
    • None to disable Event Actions on your calendar.

  3. Change any other settings you want, click Preview if you want to take a look before you accept the settings, and when you're done, click OK.

Allow visitors to select multiple events

If events on your calendar occur only once and you expect the typical visitor to be interested in more than one event, for Event Action display, choose Multiple to make selecting multiple events the default.

Here is an example of how Event Actions options look on a published calendar when visitors can select multiple events at a time.

To select multiple events, visitors select either the checkbox next to each event or click the Select: All link in the panel above the calendar, and then choose an option from the event actions dropdown list.

Allow visitors to select only one event at a time

If events on your calendar occur at more than one time (for example, a seminar or performance that repeats on five different days), for Event Action display, choose Single to make selecting one event at a time the default.

Here is an example of how Event Actions options look on a published calendar when visitors can select only one event at a time.

To add an event to a personal calendar or take other event actions, visitors click next to the event.
