Address BookYou can set up a Trumba® Address Book the same way you can in email programs. Having an Address Book makes it easy to send calendars and event information to groups of people. With an Address Book in place, it's also easier to set up the people with whom you want to share a calendar. To add email addresses to your Address Book, either by typing or importing them, at the top of any Trumba calendar page, click Address Book. See also Your Address Book. Email a calendarWhen you email a calendar, you send an email message containing calendar events to people on a distribution list. You can send a one-time message or set up a message to be sent weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. To email a calendar, click the Email button above the calendar. See also Send a set of events by email. EventEvents are the basic units of calendars that you create in Trumba Connect. An event is a seminar, performance, meeting, class, or any other occurrence that you want to publicize. You can add one-time, multi-day, or repeating events to your calendars, and you can mark events as private. To add an event to a calendar, click Add Event above the calendar. See also Add events to calendars. Event Actions calendarThe first time you sign in to Trumba Connect, you see a calendar already created for your account. The calendar appears under your primary calendar (indicated by an asterisk) in the calendar list. We call this calendar the Event Actions calendar. This calendar stores system information related to your account. Do not add your own events to this calendar. To create calendars for your events, in the Calendar Tasks list (below the Other Calendars list), click Create a new calendar. ExportYou can export events from any calendar you create in Trumba Connect so you can import these events into a calendar created in another program. When you export, you can choose between two file formats, ICS (iCalendar) or CSV (Comma Separated Values). See Export calendars to learn more about which format to use when. To export a calendar, click Export this calendar in the Calendar Tasks list. ImportYou can import events from calendars created in other e-mail and calendar programs, such as Microsoft® Office Outlook®, MSN® Hotmail®, or Apple® iCal®, to your Trumba calendar. You can also import contact lists from these programs. First, you export the events or contacts as a text file. Then, you import that file into Trumba Connect. See also Synchronize. Mixed-inWhen you are working with multiple calendars, you can display two or more of them at once by using the check boxes next to the calendar name in the calendar list. When you display another calendar with the one you're currently viewing, you mix in the second calendar. See also Organize events from multiple calendars. PublishWhen you publish a calendar, unless you password protect it, you make it publicly available on the Web. Anyone can see the calendar, and use the Add to Calendar service to add events from the calendar to their Microsoft Office Outlook, MSN Hotmail, Apple iCal, or Google calendars. ShareWhen you share a calendar, you give one or two other trusted people permission to add, delete, or change events on that calendar. Only Trumba account holders to whom you have given permission will be able to access a shared calendar. See also Publish. SMSShort Message Service. The format used for sending messages to a cell phone. SMS messages are text only and can have up to 160 characters. See also Actions visitors can take with events on your published calendar SubscribeWhen you publish a calendar, visitors can subscribe to it a number of ways. Subscribing to your calendar allows visitors to know when you make changes to the calendar. |
